The majority of our staff have the title “Customer Service Professional” and this role is the most important job at AnswerFirst. CSPs work the frontline answering our customers’ calls, texts, emails, web chats and other business communications. In other words, these team members are responsible for relating with our customers’ customers and providing exceptional customer service every day.
This past year as inflation started to impact the cost of living and AnswerFirst team members started expressing that they were stressed about the cost of food and housing expenses, we decided to move forward with an additional pay increase for our Customer Service Professionals. Even though our call volume slowed down a little earlier in the summer than we expected and there wasn’t extra revenue to cover an additional pay raise, our leadership team felt it was more important to alleviate stress for our employees than to worry about maximizing profits. Ensuring that our Customer Service Professionals are as stress-free as possible is an important first step in providing exceptional customer service.
We support thousands of clients around the globe with our fully remote staff. While many businesses have returned to requiring onsite work, we believe that allowing employees to choose where they want to work is not only supportive of their well-being but also good for our environment. Our cloud-based infrastructure allows us to effectively run AnswerFirst and support our clients without requiring our hundreds of employees to sit in traffic back and forth to work each day. There are hundreds of fewer cars on the road which reduces traffic congestion and reduces our carbon footprint.
